watching:: all of my favorite fall shows! I love not having summer shows to watch because I can just sit back and enjoy life a little more simply. But now that summer is over, I'm excited to be catching up with some of my favorite characters.
some of my favorite returning shows: Parenthood, The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals.
some new shows I'm enjoying: Forever, How to Get Away with Murder and Gotham (I'm actually still on the fence about this one).
reading:: The Returned. It's a book that has been made into a television show about people all over the world who are coming back to life. I'm not super wild about it, but it could be a lot worse. I'm hoping to finish it by the end of the month so I can read Gone Girl.
considering:: going back to school to get my Masters of Fine Arts in Film. But I only want to do it if I could basically go for free. So I'm looking how I could do that.
enjoying:: the wonderful coolness of autumn in the south. It may not be in the 60s, but in Georgia 80 is almost a miracle!
listening to:: Flannel Graph! I found them on Spotify and completely fell in love. Some of my favorite songs are Oh Joe, Apple Pie, Five Foot Three and Sideache. But lets be real, I love all of their songs!
anticipating:: the holiday season. I'm not usually one who gets excited about the holiday season but for some reason, this year is different. I'm ready for costumes, a big turkey, and Christmas Tree lights.
trying:: to get my life in order. I feel like I'm stretched and scattered all over the place. And although I love every thing I'm doing, I think it's time to break out a daily planner... haven't used one of those since college!
craving:: pumpkin spice cupcakes! I've said before that I'm not typically a pumpkin person, but I had these for the first time last year and they were amazing! So good that, yesterday I found this recipe and got to work! They were delicious!
feeling:: crafty! It happens more regularly now, I just get the urge to craft and go crazy in Michael's. This week I may two wreaths, re-arranged my room, and hung the two mirrors I found at a yard sale last Saturday! Now I'm ready for pumpkin carving/painting and party planning!

Day 21| Fall favorites. What do you love most about this season?
I LOVE AUTUMN! It's been my favorite season since before I can remember. There are so many things I love about it that it's difficult to know where to begin. But I'll do my best to try and make sense of my excitement. Perhaps a list will be easiest. Y'all know I love lists!
cool breezes:: in the dead of Georgia summers, these are what I miss the most. And I love outside, so when the temps fall unto the 70s I want to spend entire days breathing in the fresh air.
bonfires:: I love the smell of a bonfire or burning leaves.
baking:: so there's nothing in the "Fall Lover's Handbook" (i made that up, i don't think it exists) that says that baking is a part of fall but it's always what comes to mind when I think of this beloved season. I love baking, but in the summer, hearing your oven to 350 degrees is like turning your house into a sauna. Baking in the fall is perfect for warming the home and your belly.
food:: I have to be honest, I prefer sweet potatoes to pumpkin anything. It's not that I hate pumpkin, it's just that in my house, sweet potato was more popular than pumpkin. I will say, my favorite cupcakery had a pumpkin spice cupcake last year that was to die for! I am excited about that making it's way back.
clothes:: I like shorts and sandals, but there's nothing better than scarves, boots and sweat pants! I love being able to curl up in a hoodie and sweat pants on the couch to read a book or watch a movie.
What do you love most about autumn?
In celebration of my new blender, I thought today would be the perfect day to share a new smoothie recipe! Despite what I said yesterday, I did not make many smoothies, just one. But it was delicious all the same. Here's what you'll need to create your own "Almost Elvis" smoothie.
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
1 teaspoon of flax seed
2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons of coco powder
A splash of milk to make it blend well together
>>To make sure your smoothie is cold, you can freeze the banana, or just add in a few ice cubes.<<
Through all of these things into the blender and blend until smooth. Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy!
Are there any classic recipes you like to turn into smoothies?
