I love baking! In fact, at some point in my life I really wanted to own a bakery... and then I realized that baking Martha White muffins was not going to cut it. I've since spread my baking wings and have found a few things that have turned out well; one of them being this chocolate chip banana bread.
For those of you who aren't professional bakers, don't run away just yet! I promise that this is a simple recipe.
3 over ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 beaten egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
dash of salt
1.5 cups of all-purpose flour
1.5 cups of chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350. If you're using a glass pan/or one that is not non-stick, use your choice of a non-stick agent. Also, I used a 9x5 pan so if you're using something different than your cook time will be different.
Mix the bananas, butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Add the baking soda and salt to the top of that mixture. Mix in the flour, making sure not to over mix. Lastly, add in the chocolate chips.
Pour your mixture into your pan and bake for 50-60 minutes. After it's done, let cool and enjoy!
I've also seen recipes with cinnamon sugar. Do you have a favorite add ins to banana bread?
