Can I just say how happy I am to see February?!?! It always seems like January is the longest month of the year. And I think it's because November and December are filled with craziness from holiday travels/work and then everything seems to go silent for the month of January.
This can have it's perks, it's always a restful month. But I'm ready to hit the ground running this month! Which is why I've wasted no time coming up with a list of goals for this month. Before I dive into those, let's see how well I did with my goals from last month.
Computer:: I did not get my computer fixed, the place I went to said that because I didn't purchase it there, they couldn't fix it. So I sucked it up and purchased a new one! And just like that I'm back to blogging in bed!
A Tour of Augusta:: I did not to this in the way I originally planned. But just like any good procrastinator, I turned something that could have been one post into several. I decided to do a mini-series on a few of my favorite places in Augusta. If you missed it, you can check out the first part here.
Health:: this has been a great experience this month! I've taken to going on a run every Saturday with a few friends and have come to actually enjoy it (and when I say "run" I really mean jogging/walking). I've also put to use my TV and I've started doing Pilates or yoga videos on YouTube. They're great because I have an unlimited library so there's no chance of getting bored anytime soon.
Reading:: I did not start and finish two books this month, but I did finish two books I'd been reading since late last year! I even did a review of one of them here. The other review will most likely come along sometime this month.
Scripture:: I also have kept up with the She Reads Truth read through their Bible in a year plan. I've joined a Bible Study once a week and I'm loving it. We're going to start a study on prayer and I'm looking forward to it!
Car:: This one didn't happen after I spontaneously purchased my new computer but we are set to receive our bonuses from last year this month so hopefully it'll be done before March.
Blogging:: This was by far the least productive thing I did last month. I could blame it on not having a computer but that wouldn't be honest, I was just being a slacker. Now that that's out in the open, I feel better.
I would say that all in all, January was a pretty good month in the way of goals being met. Now on to this month's goals.
>>blogging<< I feel like I say this every month, but I really think it's time for me to climb back on the blogging horse! I've had two months where I've barely blogged and it's past time for me to get out of this slump!
>>fitness<< In keeping up my healthy habits from last month, I want to continue to workout regularly while also eating well.
>>community<< I really want to strive to build more relationships with people I don't always hang out with. I want to get to know other people; not because I don't love my friends, I just don't ever want to stop getting to know new people.
>>guitar<< I've been slacking when it comes to practicing my guitar and I would love to be able to confidently play a song by the June! So I've got to spend some more time working on my callouses.
>>reading<< I ordered a lot of books from Amazon last month so I want to finish at least two of them, but if I can, I'm going to push myself to finishing three. I'm currently reading The Future of Us and Rich Dad Poor Dad.
>>car<< get new tires!
What are your goals for the month?
