“It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.” - A. Dumbledore
Today I want to share with y'all my first encounter with the Harry Potter books. I admitted before that I was not a fan of reading when the books first became popular. Well, for a while now, I've been a very big reader and am always looking for a good book.
In October of 2013 I knew that I was soon to be only working part-time for a while until I could find another job and although sitting around the house watching Netflix sounded tempting, I really wanted to do something some-what productive.
*Enter the Harry Potter series*
I found myself faced with no reason why I couldn't read them. I had time and plenty of it, and knowing that I liked the movies, I purchased the first five books from my local used book store. From there I found myself with my nose in the books at all times -- I could read 2 books a month and that's including the last ones that are over 700 pages.
I think that it's safe to say that this is when I became a true HP fan!
Do any of y'all have plans to go to Universal anytime soon?
What was your first experience with the books?
