So... this is my first attempt at a serious blog! I've got to be honest and say that I haven't been consistent with keeping up with previous blogs thus far! But this time I'm determined to stay on top of it (but just in case I fail, be patient with me please!)
Who am I?
I'm a twenty something from Georgia who, in recent years graduated with my Bachelor's in Mass Media-- a degree I'm not entirely sure how to use. Currently, I work as a video editor for a local news station; and while it's not what I want to do for the rest of my life, it has revived my love for all forms of media. I think when it's all said and done, I love communicating with people!
I became a Christian while I was in college and have struggled through the good, the bad, and the ugly of life since then-- with God's gracious hand in all. I have a passion for discipleship and seeing others come to know Jesus as the one who truly satisfies and brings all joy. Don't get me wrong, I'll be the first to admit that He's still working on my heart, but I look back and see where He's brought me from, and I'm thankful!
For a quick overview of me, head on over to my "in the beginning" page.
What is this blog?
Okay, so you're probably wondering about why I named my blog, "my old heart." If not, I'm still going to tell you. My favorite band is The Oh Hellos. It's really just a brother and sister from Texas. Anyway, they have a song called, "Hello My Old Heart" and while I was sipping my coffee (one of my favorite past times) it came on my Pandora and I just decided, it would be called, "My Old Heart." So... not the greatest explanation of a blog title, but it's mine!
Welcome to my online journal! The place where I want to share the ups, downs and in betweens of my life-- as a friend, daughter, follower of Christ, and dreamer. Follow me as I try to figure out my twenties and how to make the most of them!
