I've been wanting to do a tour of Augusta on the blog for some time now. But me being the slacker that I can sometimes be, I have yet to make the time to photograph my favorite places in and around the city. So instead of just one post about where I live, there will be several in a mini-series of my favorite places in Augusta.
I love the outdoors and this is the place my heart longs for after a stressful week. It's called The Savannah Rapids but don't let the name confuse you, it's still in Augusta. It's a part of the Augusta Canal (in my opinion it's one of the most beauty parts!).
Although it's not Lover's Bridge, some people like to put locks on the fence in that area. My roommates and I will sometimes make up our own stories about the people who placed the lock there. It always makes for a good laugh.
If you ever find yourself in Augusta, this is one of the places you have to make time for!
What's your favorite outdoor spot in your hometown?
