The type A girl inside of me loves to sit down to write out a list of goals to achieve for the coming month. However there's also a type B girl in there too who likes to sit back and laugh at the thought of accomplishing anything but a season of Friends on Netflix.
Despite the type B girl, I still try my hardest to make, and stick to, a list of goals each month. Before we jump into March, I want to recap February's goals.
>>blogging<< I think I did better this month in comparison to December and January, but I'm still not where I would like to be at this point in my blogging "career", which is my own fault.
>>fitness<< I had one week this month where I gave into any and all temptations. That week is over and I'm doing my best to get back on track. I've come to learn that it's not the working out that gets me, it's the eating healthy.
This perfectly describes my struggle with food.
>>community<< I would say that I've done a good job of striving to spend more time with friends I don't see that often. It's still difficult when my weekend is different from everyone else's but I've managed to find the time to go to dinner with most friends. We all have to eat right?
>>guitar<< is still sitting in my room, not tuned and a little dusty. I really am determined to learn to play it, but I think for now, I've got too much on my plate to try to pile that on top.
>>reading<< I did finish reading The Future of Us and I'm planning of doing a quick review later in the month. I'm still reading Rich Dad Poor Dad and loving every second of it.
>>car<< I finally got new tires! I'd been planning this for months but like most things, I kept putting it off. One Sunday I got a flat tire and was forced to get them. No matter the reason, Carlisle is riding on a fresh set of wheels!
I could have done better last month but I'm going to try my hardest to stick to my goals this month. I think that's why I love monthly goals, because it gives me a designated time to reflect on the good, bad and ugly of the previous month. Moving on:
Goals for March
>>financially<< In light of the fact that I've been reading a financial book, I really want to think of ways that I can gain assets in my life. I want to be wise about my money and this book has opened so many doors.
>>blogging<< I know that I make this goal every month but I really think that this is the month that I climb back on my blogging horse! I made a plan and I really hope it works. If not, I'll be making this goal again for April.
>>fitness<< Despite my struggles at eating healthy last month, I have been doing great at jogging three times a week. I always thought I would hate being a jogger, but I after I got through the third week, I found that I actually enjoy it! Not only do I enjoy it, I look forward to it!
This month I want to keep up the jogging and add in some strength training.
>>personally<< Everyone says that if you want to become better creatively then you have to actively create things. In light of this, I've been drawing and coming up with short stories! I've found myself looking forward to the time when I can get my ideas out on paper. I really want to continue to make time for this as the month progresses.
>>reading<< Both of the books I'm currently reading are non-fiction books. Because of this, I find it hard to read more than a few pages at a time of each one. This month I really want to finish the two books I'm reading.
I think that's as much as I can handle this month! I think they're all simple enough to be done by April.
What are some of your goals for the month?
