I'm so excited to have been nominated by Sarah, from 12 Twenty Seven, for the One Lovely Blog Award! Last month I signed up to be an encourager on Sarah's blog! Little did I know that she would be the one encouraging me. She's always been faithful to leave encouraging comments which is a big deal in blog-land. You have to go check out her blog! She has a heart for sharing Christ through her blog and has boldly shared the ups and downs of life.
I was also nominated by Bijee, from The Reflections of a Good Woman. I was introduced to Bijee's blog through the Peony Prject. And as I've followed her blog I've seen just how much she loves Christ, her family and genuinely sharing that love with others. I greatly admire the way she desires to love others through the gifts she's been given.
So what is the One Lovely Blog Award? I thought you'd never ask!
Here are the rules:
- You must display the award logo at the top of your post

- You must let the people you have nominated know that they have been nominated
- You must follow the person back who nominated you on Bloglovin' and GFC (if you have one)
Seven facts about me:
>>I'm a procrastinator<< if I have more than a day to do something, it won't get done until the day (sometimes a few hours) before it's due. I just work better under the pressures of a tight deadline. This has made blogging an adventure, but I'm learning to finish things in advance.
>>books<< I buy books like some girls buy shoes: too many at once and I always have more than I could ever read in a two month time span.
>>observer<< When I'm in a new situation, I typically prefer to sit back and observe before I open my month. Once I think I've got a good overview of the situation, I start talking. Sometimes this comes off as rude or snobbish, I don't mean it to.
>>baking<< When I'm in a really good mood, I bake. Any and everything I even think I have ingredients for is up for grabs when I'm having a good day!
>>holidays<< I very much appreciate the reason why we celebrate Christmas but Thanksgiving is my favorite winter holiday! No one will ever nominate me for the "best gift giver award" and given this fact, the act of trying to find the perfect gift for friends and family is always a stressful one! So I love the simplicity of Thanksgiving; cook, eat, laugh, repeat. I love just being with family, no gifts, just sweet memories! Needless to say, I'm super excited for Thursday!
>>work<< the summer after my freshman year I helped a librarian get some files in order; she only needed me for a few weeks but it was my favorite job in college! When I retire, I want to be a cute, old, librarian and read books to little children.
>>sleep<< I have to have at least a sheet covering me when I sleep! I think that somewhere in my subconscious, I think that nothing bad can happen if I'm covered up. Whatever it is, it's the only way I can get a good night's rest. I also can't fall asleep while reading or watching a movie, if I'm doing something and I'm sleepy, I have to put it down and decide to go to sleep.
