In case you missed it over the weekend, it's officially Summer! This is not my favorite season to spend in Georgia, I'd much rather spend them in a place with less humidity, like, I don't know, Colorado! But that's another story for another post.
In light of it being the first post of this unbelievably hot summer, I thought it'd be a great time to share one of my favorite cool down smoothie recipes! This has been my classic "go-to" smoothie for years and it's pretty simple!
So here are your ingredients.
- Spinach (1/4 cup)
- Peanut Butter (2 teaspoons)
- Honey (1/2 teaspoon)
- Strawberries (4)
- Frozen blueberries (1/4 cup)
- Greek Yogurt (3 tablespoons)
You don't have to use frozen blueberries, I just think that it keeps the smoothie cold. Some people use ice, but I feel like it just waters the smoothie down.
Also, the portions of these ingredients are all dependent on how much you want to make. I usually just make enough of one smoothie, but I have heard of people making enough for two and just putting the other away for another time.
Blend all these yummie ingredients together and- VOILA- you've get a delicious and easy summer smoothie! Hope y'all enjoy!
I'd love you hear from y'all, what's your favorite smoothie add in?
